Saint Benedict's YouthMiddle and High School Youth Group: The Middle and High school Youth Groups strive to promote community and Catholic identity among 6th through 12th grade students by providing social, service, and spiritual activities. Friends, Catholic and non-Catholic, are always welcome at all youth group activities. The high school youth group meets every Wednesday night and on weekends, and the middle school youth group meets on Friday nights and weekends. All youth group participants are required to have a current medical/liability form on file in the case of an emergency. There are a few ways in which parishioners can find out specifics about upcoming youth group activities. Youth and their parents are always welcome to contact Deb Malcom, Director of Youth Ministries, at 455-4451, Ext. 230 or 408-1144. Check the bulletin for weekly announcements, and visit the table on the west side of the Commons for sign-up sheets and flyers about upcoming events. Also, there is an answering machine in the youth office (451-7314), which gives information about the youth events for that week. We could not have youth group activities without the helps of many adult volunteers. To maintain safety at youth group activities, we require one chaperone for every 7 to 10 youth present. All chaperones must be over the age of 21 and have the proper paperwork completed and on file in the church office. Parishioners can volunteer on a weekly basis, or every once in a while as their schedule permits. Adults wishing to volunteer with our youth group activities are encouraged to contact Deb Malcom in the church office.
