Our philosophy at St. Benedict Preschool adheres to the Catholic education mission; to respond to a mandate from Jesus Christ to teach all nations. All people within the school setting – faculty, parents, students and parishioners share this mission.

The Catholic religion is the heart of our early childhood program. Our students are nurtured and inspired to live and model the works and actions of Jesus Christ.

Our program provides a safe, loving, healthy and educational environment. We use play, guided exploration, and hands-on activities that are appropriate to each child’s needs to teach. This environment creates opportunities for success and growth in communication and social skills, discovery, creativity, cognitive skills, as well as fine and gross motor skills. This establishes a positive and happy introduction to learning in a school setting and sets them up for continued success educationally and socially as they move on to Kindergarten. We show and teach respect for the dignity and needs of the whole child; spiritual, physical, social and emotional.
